We've been open for the 2015 season for exactly a month today and it's time to update the blog. Here's a photo taken at Aoibheann's amazing weekend of talks on food/inspiration and imagination that took place on the 6th/7th and 8th of March in her quite stunning house. Well done to all involved!
Our kitchen at work is closed for a few weeks which is a perfect opportunity to tweak a few of a recipes. Here's a couple of breads I made last night.
Spotted in Berlin - this really simple and beautiful pattern - documented as inspiration for our upcoming t-shirt designs.
Another example of the fantastic food available on our trip to Berlin. Just for the record - we didn't manage to eat all of this but got pretty close:)
One of my favourite things about Mies van der Rohe's designs is the simplicity of his work. This installation of shaved tree trunks in the Neue Nationalgalerie (Berlin) reflects this beautifully.
The Stop is closed for a few weeks over the winter so Emer and I dropped the boys off at Granny and Papa's and went to Berlin for three nights. We stayed at "Linnen" Prenzlauer Berg. We loved this place and on our first morning we stayed in and had their amazing Berlin breakfast.
Here's a shot from back in the summer - Emer and I on the morning we received our "McKennas Guides Best In Ireland". John and Sally are two extremely lovely people and it was a pleasure having them both to stay. We're absolutely delighted to have this outside the front door:)
The lovely people from Wildwood Vinegars left us this after their stay for the Galway Food Festival - thanks folks it's seriously delicious!
